  • If you’re interested in putting together a short talk for beginners, please let me know via email or our Slack channel.

— Powerwheels Firetruck Decoration Build-A-Thon —

Date: Sunday, September 10, 2017

Location: MakerBar (38 Jackson St. Hoboken NJ, 3rd Floor)

Time: 10:00 AM

What is Powerwheels racing? Well, their website can describe it best:

Briefly, you take a child’s power wheels car and spend up to $500 upgrading and tricking it out so you can race it against like minded individuals. The next race is Sept 23–24 and we need to get our firetruck, BERT looking nice for the crowd.

Check out some pictures of us and our truck here

We’re going to spend all day adding lights and whatever firetruck related do-dads we can find so we can make a real impression on the judges. We’ll be ordering pizza and it should be a fun time for everybody.

However, if you’re planning to bring something, please let us know in the comments so we don’t end up with a dozen of the same thing.

Also, you don’t have to be an actual fire-fighter, but if you are, we’d love anything that makes our truck look more authentic.

We’re not allowed to spray our competitors with water (or anything else), so we can’t be quite that authentic, but anything else firetruck related is encouraged.
