DeSci NYC is a meet up group for those in the New York Metro Area that are interested in Decentralized Science.
DeSci facilitates the creation of decentralized platforms where scientific knowledge is accessible globally. Researchers can share findings, collaborate, and access data without traditional barriers, fostering open access to information.
Decentralized science refers to the use of blockchain technology, and its features such as tokens, NFTs, and decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs), to make various aspects of scientific research and collaboration more open, incentivized, and community-driven.
